Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency and Critical Care

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Dawson Creek & District Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency and Critical Care department, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency and Critical Care environment, utilizing their analytical skills and critical thinking to prioritize and organize patient care. They will work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team, communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency and Critical Care environment
  • Utilize analytical skills and critical thinking to prioritize and organize patient care
  • Work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Operate related equipment and maintain a safe and clean environment
Requirements:
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
  • Current Level C CPR certification. ACLS, CTAS required or acquired within twelve (12) months from date of hire
  • One year's recent related experience working in an Emergency Department and/or a Critical Care Unit
  • Completion of; or willingness to enroll in a post-graduate Critical Care or Emergency Department Course
  • Up to date certification in TNCC and ENPC is an asset
