Job Title: Registered Nurse - Primary Care

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Primary Care team in Dawson Creek. As a key member of our interprofessional team, you will provide high-quality patient care, develop and implement care plans, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal health outcomes.

About the Role:
  • Provide direct clinical care and services to individuals, groups, and communities in primary care settings.
  • Develop and implement care plans that address the unique needs of patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal health outcomes.
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge in primary care nursing.

Requirements:
  • Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN or RPN registrant.
  • Three years of recent, related clinical nursing experience in primary care nursing and/or chronic disease management settings.
  • Current valid BC driver's license.

  • Assessment and Intervention: Demonstrated ability to complete initial and ongoing client assessments and provide nursing care through appropriate interventions.
  • Communication: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Critical Thinking: Demonstrated ability to integrate and evaluate pertinent data to problem-solve effectively.
  • Person and Family Centered Practice: Ability to promote person-focused care that demonstrates care for and with people and their families.
  • Teaching and Learning: Knowledge of adult learning principles and facilitation skills to educate patients and healthcare professionals.
