Job Title: Occupational Therapist - Complex Mental Health and Substance Use

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Provincial Assessment Centre. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with clients who have complex mental health and substance use challenges, providing assessment, intervention, and support to help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' occupational performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address clients' needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with clients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.
  • Provide education and counseling to clients and their families on occupational therapy and mental health.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss client care and develop treatment plans.
Requirements:
  • Baccalaureate in Occupational Therapy.
  • Two years' recent experience working in a psychiatric setting with individuals who have complex mental health and addictions issues.
  • Current full registration with the College of Health Care and Professionals of British Columbia.
  • Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
