About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at PHSA, providing occupational therapy services to individuals with complex mental health and substance use challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess clients with complex needs, considering their personal context, goals, interests, needs, safety, environment, and resources.
  • Develop and implement outcome-oriented occupational therapy services, collaborating with clients, caregivers, and other healthcare providers.
  • Implement occupational therapy services using diverse intervention approaches, engaging clients in activities associated with occupational roles and goals.
  • Manage a complex caseload, coordinating care and applying case management principles.
  • Provide education and counseling to clients and families regarding functional and rehabilitation issues.
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate in Occupational Therapy.
  • Two years' recent experience working in a psychiatric setting with individuals who have complex mental health and addictions issues.
  • Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
