Job Summary

The Production Supervisor II is a key member of our manufacturing team, responsible for overseeing the operation of the shift and ensuring the smooth flow of materials, human resources, and documentation. This role requires strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with a focus on meeting company objectives and adhering to Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate shift changeover, ensuring optimal machinery and human resources are in place and reporting any deficiencies in a timely manner.
  • Monitor job duties to ensure all pertinent SOPs are followed and activities are documented properly.
  • Investigate and rectify Quality Assurance deviations, including revising departmental SOPs and coaching operators on documentation practices.
  • Maintain a high degree of cooperation with other departments and participate in cross-departmental activities.
  • Act as a resource for educating and training direct reports on the Safety Program and hold employees accountable for following safety rules and regulations.
  • Conduct Employee Relations activities, including performance reviews, performance improvement initiatives, and conflict resolution.
  • Coordinate new employee training and other training requirements of production staff.
  • Drive GMP and regulatory requirements, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Complete Batch Record Reviews and daily shift reports for output, efficiency, downtime, and other required metrics.
Qualifications
  • Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 10pm - 6am.
  • Education: Degree in a related discipline, such as Science or Engineering, with formal management or professional studies/training or certification being an asset.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of related experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or a related environment, with a combined minimum of 1 year of management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and other Employment-related legislation.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make recommendations.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to delegate and work within interdepartmental teams.
