Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Culinary Expert to join our team at DHAYOR AFRICAN STORE INC. as an Executive Chef Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
  • Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions, utilizing expertise in various cuisines.
  • Plan menus that meet quality standards, taking into account dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements
  • Cook Trade Certification and Safe Food Handling certificate are mandatory.
  • Experience in African cuisine, bakery goods, desserts, fish and seafood, meat, poultry, and game is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and maintaining attention to detail.
  • Dependability, flexibility, organization, reliability, and teamwork are essential qualities for this role.
