CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Director of Audit to join our Assurance Group. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing financial reporting, technical accounting support, and quality control processes to ensure compliance with ethical standards and firm requirements.

As a key member of our team, you will leverage your expertise to guide staff and executives on complex accounting matters. You will also be responsible for conducting thorough reviews of financial statements under various accounting standards, staying abreast of industry developments and new pronouncements, and leading training initiatives to enhance the knowledge base of our professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance on accounting and assurance-related inquiries
  • Conduct quality monitoring reviews of financial statements under various accounting standards
  • Stay updated on industry developments and new accounting standards
  • Lead training initiatives for staff and executives
  • Deliver seminars to clients on accounting pronouncements
  • Collaborate with teams to share knowledge and expertise

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years' experience in assurance-related services
  • Strong technical knowledge in accounting standards such as ASPE and IFRS
  • CPA, CA designation required
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Experience with CaseWare is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
