Key Responsibilities:

  • Interact directly with clients and partners on various engagements, providing exceptional service and support.
  • Analyze and review financial information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Complete working papers and corporate tax returns for review by managers or partners, demonstrating attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Act as a senior on assurance teams to perform audit and review engagements, providing leadership and guidance to junior staff.
  • Complete personal tax and other returns for clients, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Participate in tax return pools for at least one of the following T1, T3, and T4, demonstrating expertise and knowledge.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to First and Second Year CPA Students in the office and on client sites, fostering their growth and development.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in public practice accounting, including compilation, review, audit, and corporate and personal tax preparation experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • CPA designation or have written the CFE, demonstrating a commitment to professional development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in CaseWare, Tax Prep, and MS Office, with a strong understanding of accounting software and systems.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas and concepts.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with a talent for developing positive relationships and rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and identify trends and patterns.
  • Strong understanding of audit, assurance, and tax standards, with a commitment to staying up-to-date with industry developments.
