About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Manager to join our team at HMW Recruiters Inc. as a key member of our Financial Services division. As an Audit Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing multiple engagements for clients in various industries, including mining, technology, and others.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with clients and partners to keep them updated on any issues and ensure seamless communication throughout the engagement.
- Manage audit fieldwork, including planning and supervising staff to ensure engagements are executed within budget and on-time.
- Utilize your technical background in IFRS to provide financial reporting services to clients.
- Perform interim reviews for US quarterly reporting and review financial statements preparation and accompanying notes.
- Research complex accounting issues pertaining to public company filing requirements.
- Supervise staff, provide mentoring and training, and develop their technical abilities to promote professional growth.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be a CPA with strong audit experience, ideally on publicly-listed companies. You must be comfortable working in smaller teams and have superb interpersonal skills and leadership abilities to manage client relations and motivate staff. An understanding of Canadian public company reporting requirements and exposure to working on pubcos is preferred, but we will also consider candidates from the private side with strong audit skills.
