Position Overview:

The primary role involves actively contributing as a member of the team in the management and upkeep of our gas and oil production sites and associated facilities. The operations group collaborates closely to ensure the reliability and safe functioning of the equipment and pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Align with and support the policies, objectives, and initiatives of Cenovus's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management System.
  • Prioritize Health, Safety, and Environmental considerations in all tasks performed within the designated area of responsibility. Actively model and mentor safe behaviors to foster a culture where unsafe actions and conditions are reported for corrective measures.
  • Understand and execute safety, environmental, and regulatory duties, including hazard identification, equipment lockout procedures, emergency response protocols, and implementation of safe work practices.
  • Conduct housekeeping, performance monitoring, and maintenance tasks.

Candidate Profile:

  • Familiarity with Cenovus's Health and Safety Programs.
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in oil and gas operations.
  • Possession of a 4th Class or Fired Process Heater Operator Ticket is advantageous.
  • Experience in Gas Process Operations (GPO) / Production Field Operations (PFO) levels A, B, C, D / I, II, III, IV or Oil & Gas Process Operations (OGPO) levels 100, 200, 300, 400 / I, II, III, IV.

As this role is classified as safety-sensitive, the employment of the selected candidate will be contingent upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical evaluations and alcohol/drug assessments.

Applicants must maintain a valid Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and comply with the relevant company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be included in the background checks conducted during the pre-employment screening process.
