Deli Clerk

Job Summary:

Federated Co-operatives Limited is seeking a skilled Deli Clerk to join our team. As a Deli Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing food products, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service at the deli counter, ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.
• Prepare a variety of food products, including sandwiches, pizzas, salads, and fried foods, to meet customer demands.
• Stock, package, slice, and label products for purchase, ensuring accurate inventory management.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager, including receiving and stocking merchandise, and participating in visual merchandising.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting customer demands and maintaining a clean and organized store.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Some heavy lifting is required, up to 50 pounds, with the ability to lift and move merchandise as needed.
• Experience with food preparation is an asset, with training available for new hires.
• Must be over the age of 14, with a valid permit to work if under 18.
