Role Overview
This position entails providing comprehensive administrative support to the Graduate Programs within the Faculty of Education. Under the guidance of the Manager, the role involves responding to inquiries related to Master's and PhD programs, as well as offering information about admission and registration policies. The incumbent will work to resolve both routine and complex issues that may arise.
The role requires effective liaison with faculty, students, staff, and external partners to coordinate various aspects of program admissions, registration, course scheduling, events, policies, comprehensive and oral examinations, and graduation processes. Additionally, the position includes training, assigning, and overseeing the work of new and temporary staff members.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma along with one year of post-secondary education, complemented by training and experience in office procedures and environments. A minimum of three years of relevant experience is required, although an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Strong understanding of university regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, with a proven capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and initiative while communicating with tact and diplomacy.
- Thorough knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, methods, and equipment.
