Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Director to join our team at Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and revenue expansion through strategic planning, leadership, and execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targeted room revenues, average rate, and RevPAR index.
  • Lead and manage the Sales Team to ensure effective sales efforts and achieve sales targets.
  • Prepare annual rooms and catering revenue budgets and operational plans.
  • Collaborate with the Director, Revenue Management to maximize rate and occupancy during periods of compression and RevPAR gain during soft periods.
  • Attend sales/revenue strategy meetings to provide input on weekly and overall sales strategy.
  • Identify coaching, training, and leadership needs for the Sales Team and devise methods of delivery.
  • Chair monthly departmental Sales & Catering meetings to ensure ongoing effective communication of financial results, strategic direction, and general hotel information.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years sales leadership experience in a large full-service hotel.
  • Diploma or degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management or Business would be an asset.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in leading a team and selling in a luxury environment with a pattern of exceptional results.
