Opportunity Overview

The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Onboarding & Governance Team at RBC - Royal Bank is seeking a seasoned professional to assume a leadership position responsible for designing and maintaining the enterprise-wide IAM Process models. This role will consult and support the strategic implementation and processes covering all aspects of IAM, ensuring operational effectiveness and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain comprehensive IAM Process Models and supporting documentation, encompassing all IAM capabilities.
  2. Ensure processes are optimized for efficiency, operational feasibility, and business needs.
  3. Provide subject matter expertise to project teams and business stakeholders, translating requirements into business, functional, and technical specifications.
  4. Compile IAM metrics and present IAM Governance documentation to senior leadership forums.
  5. Collaborate with business partners and application teams to document IAM-related control designs.
  6. Identify and implement solutions to enhance IAM process efficiency.
  7. Provide direction on process optimization, efficiency, and capacity planning for the Process & Metrics team.
  8. Participate in and understand IAM roadmaps for capability delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Requirements

  1. Must-have
  2. 5-10 years of experience with IAM capabilities and solutions.
  3. Experience with process design and effective metric design.
  4. Ability to manage, prioritize, and execute with minimal direction or oversight in a high-pressure environment with emotional intelligence.
  5. Strong understanding of IAM concepts and solutions designs for efficient security controls.
  6. Cross-functional collaboration and negotiation with internal teams for effective task completion.
  7. Proficient technical experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio, etc.) and Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence).
  8. Excellent written and oral communication skills and experience presenting to senior management forums.
  9. Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  10. Understanding of Business and Technical Strategies.
  11. Excellent understanding of risk concepts and frameworks.
  12. Built a High Performance Culture - lead change and continuous renewal while building capabilities of employees and teams.
  13. Nice-to-have
  14. Data analysis and reporting skills.
  15. Professional certification(s) related to information security or information risk management such as CRISC, CISA, CISM, CISSP.
  16. Extensive experience in IAM technologies, compute platforms, technology / application support, application portfolio management technologies being delivered at large organizations (preferably financial institutions).
  17. Excellent blend of technology, people management, and business skills.
