Director of Identity and Access Management Process

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead our Identity and Access Management (IAM) Process team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining our enterprise-wide IAM Process models, ensuring they are efficient, effective, and aligned with our business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Process Design and Governance: Define and maintain enterprise-wide IAM Process Models and supporting material, related to all IAM capabilities. Ensure processes enable efficiencies and optimizations are maximized while ensuring operational and business feasibility.
  2. Subject Matter Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise to project teams and business partners in translating the minimum set of requirements into business requirements, functional and non-functional requirements, and technical specifications.
  3. Metric Collection and Reporting: Compile IAM metrics collection from IAM Processes and Procedures to present IAM Governance documentation for senior leadership forums.
  4. Control Design and Documentation: Work with business partners and application teams across RBC Enterprise to document IAM related control designs.
  5. Process Improvement: Identify and implement solutions to improve the efficiency of IAM processes.
  6. Leadership and Direction: Provide direction in the optimization, efficiency, and capacity planning for the Process & Metrics team.
  7. Roadmap Understanding: Participate in and understand the IAM roadmaps for capability delivery, providing guidance to service partners.
Requirements
  1. Experience: 5-10 years of experience with IAM capabilities and solutions.
  2. Process Design: Experience with process design and effective metric design.
  3. Leadership and Management: Ability to manage, prioritize, and execute with minimal direction or oversight in a high-pressure environment with emotional intelligence.
  4. IAM Knowledge: Strong understanding of IAM concepts and solutions designs for efficient security controls.
  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Cross-functional collaboration and negotiation with internal teams for effective task completion.
  6. Technical Skills: Proficient technical experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio, etc.) and Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence).
  7. Communication and Presentation: Excellent written and oral communication skills and experience presenting to senior management forums.
  8. Leadership and Problem Solving: Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  9. Business and Technical Strategies: Understanding of Business and Technical Strategies.
  10. Risk Management: Excellent understanding of risk concepts and frameworks.
  11. Culture Building: Builds a High Performance Culture – lead change and continuous renewal while building capabilities of employees and teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Data Analysis and Reporting: Data analysis and reporting skills.
  2. Professional Certification: Professional certification(s) related to information security or information risk management such as CRISC, CISA, CISM, CISSP.
  3. IAM Technologies: Extensive experience in IAM technologies, compute platforms, technology/application support, application portfolio management technologies being delivered at large organizations (preferably financial institutions).
  4. Blend of Skills: Excellent blend of technology, people management, and business skills.
