About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Installation Specialist to join our team at Sunstone Custom Homes Ltd. as a Residential Electrical Technician. As a key member of our electrical services team, you will be responsible for designing and constructing electrical systems for our residential and commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Installation: Design and construct single-phase and multiphase electrical services for residential and commercial installations, including the installation of underground wiring and cables.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting: Test and measure voltage, loads, and ground faults to ensure the integrity of electrical circuits, and troubleshoot and isolate faults to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Material Selection: Determine the appropriate selection of materials and methods for hazardous locations, ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards.
  • Renovation and Upgrade: Renovate and upgrade electrical systems in residential and commercial structures, including the installation of power generation, standby power generation, and power conditioning systems.
  • Documentation and Communication: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements
  • Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
