About the Role

Athwal Electrical Corporation is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and commercial structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of electrical systems.
  • Test and measure voltage, loads, and ground faults to identify and troubleshoot electrical issues.
  • Splice, join, and connect wires to ensure safe and efficient electrical connections.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand electrical system designs and requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical systems to minimize downtime and ensure prompt resolution.
  • Connect power to audio and visual equipment to ensure safe and efficient electrical connections.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces, requiring physical stamina and agility.
  • Work in a team environment with regular communication and collaboration with colleagues.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in electrical systems installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and safety standards and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and clients.
Language and Work Environment
  • English is the primary language of communication.
  • 40 hours per week is the standard work schedule.
