Job Title: Investigator

Reporting to the Team Lead/Senior Investigator, this position conducts investigations into allegations of fraud or abuse of social benefit programs administered by the Government of Alberta. The primary objective is to ensure compliance with government policies and applicable legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct multifaceted investigations into allegations of fraud or abuse.
  • Interact with suspects, witnesses, and program clients in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Apply case management and time management skills to prioritize and manage investigations.
  • Utilize exceptional written and verbal communication skills to document findings and present results.
  • Exercise conflict resolution and decision-making skills to resolve complex issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong organizational skills to manage electronic records and conduct queries.
Requirements:

  • Experience with structured interviews and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to respond to priorities under short timelines.
