Position Overview

ZALIG CONSULTING LTD. is seeking a qualified Geologist to contribute to our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background and extensive experience in geological research and analysis.

Qualifications
  • Education: Master's degree in Geology or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in geological consulting or related work
Work Environment

The position will be based in a consulting firm specializing in geology, geophysics, and engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct both theoretical and practical research to enhance understanding of the earth's surface and subsurface characteristics.
  • Develop models and software applications for data analysis and interpretation.
  • Identify potential natural hazards and provide expert advice.
  • Plan and execute analytical studies on core samples to assess their chemical, mineral, hydrocarbon, and biological properties.
  • Oversee geological, geochemical, and geophysical field studies, including drilling and testing programs.
  • Recommend land acquisitions, exploration initiatives, and mine development strategies.
  • Utilize GPS and other navigation tools effectively.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in ArcGIS and similar mapping software.
  • Experience in modeling and simulation on computerized systems.
  • Strong data manipulation and analysis capabilities.
  • Expertise in data visualization techniques.
Field Experience

Experience working on land is essential.
