Position Overview

The Project Management Specialist is tasked with organizing, administering, and overseeing project activities under the guidance of a Project Manager. This role involves supporting and collaborating with the Project Manager and Superintendent in managing their designated projects.

  • Implement all Chandos project management systems, including health and safety protocols.
  • Assist in the preparation of tenders and contracts.
  • Coordinate project documentation and reporting.
  • Manage project administration and logistics, including tracking equipment and processing permits.
  • Support the project team with labor, equipment, and material utilization.
  • Oversee change orders and secure client approvals.
  • Maintain safety standards and conduct inspections.
  • Review construction plans for compliance.
  • Ensure quality workmanship and compile project documentation.
  • Address design issues and promote a culture of safety.
  • Encourage open communication and collaboration within teams.
Required Qualifications
  • Up to 7 years of experience in commercial and industrial construction.
  • Technical diploma in a relevant construction-related field (CET), or equivalent experience in construction.
  • A degree in Construction or Engineering is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience as a Project Coordinator.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, field drawings, and plans.
  • First aid skills and/or certifications are considered advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive in a time-sensitive and high-pressure environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
