The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in product innovation and equipment acquisition within the automotive sector, particularly in stamping and welding operations.

Qualifications
  1. A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; a P.Eng designation is advantageous.
  2. Prior experience in an automotive manufacturing environment specializing in stamping and welding.
  3. Proven leadership experience in a managerial role.
  4. Familiarity with preparing quotations for new business opportunities.
  5. Expertise in tooling and product development processes.
  6. Preference for candidates with Six Sigma or Lean methodologies experience.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise the estimation process for new machinery and calculate pricing for new products, considering various factors including labor costs.
  2. Conduct analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities, focusing on manufacturing processes and tooling efficiency.
  3. Collaborate with sales teams on new product initiatives and launches.
  4. Oversee all projects related to new product development, including sourcing machinery, tooling, and fixtures.
  5. Manage engineering documentation, including machine specifications and process control information.
  6. Direct the quoting and installation processes for new equipment and operational procedures.
  7. Lead initiatives aimed at continuous productivity enhancements, concentrating on waste elimination and process variation reduction across the organization.
  8. Drive cost reduction strategies and value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) efforts.
