Job Summary

Summa Metal is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Management Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document Management: Manage technical documents and construction drawings, including client-provided and internal documents, QR codes, and directives.
  • Procurement: Purchase consumables and materials, as well as coordinate with suppliers.
  • Planning: Assist in planning and coordinating project activities.
  • Material Management: Purchase materials and hardware, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Production Coordination: Coordinate with production teams to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Subcontractor Management: Manage relationships with subcontractors and ensure timely completion of work.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to installers and other stakeholders.
  • Proposal Preparation: Assist in preparing proposals and quantity takeoffs.
  • Site Measurement and Coordination: Conduct site measurements and coordinate with other subcontractors and contractors.
  • Contract Modification Management: Manage contract modifications, including documentation, extras, and tracking.
  • Payment Preparation: Prepare payment requests and ensure timely payment.
  • Project Closure: Assist in preparing project closure documents, including TQC, warranties, and other relevant documents.

Requirements

  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Construction Experience: Relevant experience in the construction industry.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
