Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated LAN Infrastructure Technician to join our team at 1722025 ALBERTA LTD.. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and security of our network systems.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years in network management or equivalent experience
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, troubleshoot, and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs)
  • Provide technical support and problem-solving assistance to network users
  • Implement and monitor data, software, and hardware security protocols
  • Conduct data backups and manage disaster recovery procedures
  • Establish local area networks and ensure reliable Internet connectivity
  • Utilize network traffic and security monitoring tools to enhance server performance
  • Modify and update web pages, applets, and scripts as necessary
  • Research and apply meta-data for websites, ensuring proper registration with search engines
  • Respond to inquiries from website visitors and collaborate with web designers
  • Oversee web server backup and recovery processes
  • Deliver technical and professional guidance to stakeholders
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in Linux and various networking software
  • Familiar with networking hardware and security measures
  • Knowledgeable in extranet and internet technologies
  • Experienced with server management and MS Office applications
  • Understanding of firewalls and social media platforms
Security Requirements
  • Completion of a criminal record check is mandatory
