About the Role

As a Registered Nurse at BC Cancer, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive cancer care to patients in Abbotsford. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring that patients receive the best possible treatment and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to oncology patients, including assessment, intervention, symptom management, and treatment coordination.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members to develop treatment plans and provide ongoing assessment and care.
  • Administer medications, injections, blood products, and IV fluids as required by the care plan.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including nursing assessments, telephone communications, and care evaluations.
  • Admit, transfer, or discharge patients according to BC Cancer policies and Centre directives.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as an RN with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Current CPR (Level C) certification.
  • One (1) year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
