Job Summary:

The Fantasyland Hotel is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Lobby Ambassador to provide exceptional service to our guests. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that every guest feels valued and cared for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Services: Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, providing personalized assistance and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Information Management: Manage guest information, including room assignments, special requests, and preferences.
  • Activity Suggestion: Offer personalized suggestions for activities and facilities provided by the hotel and West Edmonton Mall, ensuring that guests have a memorable and enjoyable stay.
  • Communication: Respond to guest inquiries, resolve issues, and provide clear and concise information about hotel amenities, services, and attractions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Guest Services, Reservations, and Switchboard, to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Customer Service Experience: One to two years of previous customer service experience, with a preference for those with previous hotel experience.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as a courteous phone manner.
  • Professionalism: Neat, well-groomed, and professional appearance, with a positive and friendly attitude.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings, and to adapt to changing situations and priorities.

Working Conditions:

  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods of time and to lift guest baggage in the absence of Guest Services.
  • Security Clearance: Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
