About the Role
The Customer Service Representative is a key member of the Mitten Building Products team, responsible for providing exceptional customer support and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely and effective support to customers via various channels, including phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and logistics, to ensure seamless order fulfillment and delivery.
- Process customer transactions, including cash, credit, and debit payments.
- Prepare and distribute daily schedules of orders to branch warehouse staff.
- Communicate with warehouse staff to resolve shipping errors and discrepancies.
- Support issues related to deliveries, including late shipments, shortages, and damaged products.
- Prepare and process freight claims and arrange for credit or reshipment as needed.
- Manage order entries and process credit/invoices for customers.
Requirements
- Completion of college/vocational or technical training (Grade 12 or GED as a minimum)
- Knowledge of building materials and construction techniques is an asset.
- Computer literate; Proficiency in using the Office Suite of products including (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Customer-focused attitude with a high level of professionalism and discretion
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and ethics
- Attention to detail and elevated level of accuracy.
- Excellent administrative, organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
- Dedicated team player that can work effectively with their own team as well as other departments to achieve goals.
