Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Resident Assistant (Personal Support Worker) to join our team at North York General Hospital. As a Resident Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing personal care to residents and supporting the nursing team in delivering high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as feeding, toileting, and transferring
- Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Practical Nurse
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- Completed Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate from a College of Applied Arts and Technology
- Long-term care experience preferred
- Skilled in Point of Care (POC), preferred
- Bilingualism in French/English an asset
