About the Role

Gnosis Development Inc. is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates of labour and material costs for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating: Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects, including preparation of cost reports and monitoring of contract expenditures.
  • Quantity Surveying: Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads.
  • Cost Monitoring: Set up and maintain cost monitoring and reporting systems to ensure accurate tracking of project costs.
  • Contract Administration: Monitor and adjust contract expenditures to ensure compliance with project budgets.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in construction estimating or quantity surveying.
  • Certifications: Membership in the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
Personal Qualities
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with project stakeholders.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve project goals.
