Mental Health Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to lead the Inpatient Psychiatry Unit and Recovery Support Centre for the South Shore of Western Zone. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all administrative, day-to-day, and clinical operations, ensuring service provision aligns with Nova Scotia Health's policies and procedures, and adheres to evidence-based practice, provincial standards, and accreditation requirements.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a Master's degree in a recognized mental health and/or addiction health discipline or related field, with five years of experience in a mental health and addictions system. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a recognized mental health and addiction discipline, with five years of experience in mental health or addictions, one of which should be in professional practice/leadership capacity, and two additional years of experience in clinical practice for a total of seven years of experience. The ideal candidate will also have formal leadership experience in the healthcare field, mental health and addictions preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all administrative, day-to-day, and clinical operations of the Inpatient Psychiatry Unit and Recovery Support Centre.
- Ensure service provision aligns with Nova Scotia Health's policies and procedures.
- Adhere to evidence-based practice, provincial standards, and accreditation requirements.
- Lead a team of professionals in providing high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Nova Scotia Health offers a competitive salary range of $45.45 - $60.39 hourly, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, and a defined benefit pension plan.
