Job Title: Licensed Millwright/Mechanic

At Alexandria Moulding, we are seeking a skilled Licensed Millwright/Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairing breakdowns, and installing new equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize, plan, and schedule preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
  • Perform scheduled downtime repair and overhaul of plant equipment.
  • Install new equipment as necessary.
  • Accurately diagnose breakdowns and perform necessary work to prevent downtime.
  • Ensure all activities are properly logged.
  • Care for maintenance department tools and equipment.
  • Make recommendations on equipment and production process improvements.
  • Communicate equipment problems and opportunities related to production.
  • Follow all safety procedures and best practices.
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards throughout the plant.
  • Report all unsafe working conditions to management or a member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
Requirements:
  • Valid license/certificate for industrial mechanic millwright (or other related fields).
  • High school diploma.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance shop equipment (lathe, milling machine, MIG welding, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of industrial electricity.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to work with little supervision.
  • Valid driver's license.

Wage: $ per hour as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement, plus $ per hour shift premium.
