Trade Finance Underwriter

We are seeking an experienced Trade Finance Underwriter to join our team at Swiss Re. As a key member of our Trade Finance & Working Capital Solutions team, you will be responsible for underwriting trade finance and non-trade loan deals, with a strong emphasis on evaluating corporate risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse trade finance and non-trade loan deals, evaluating corporate risk, pricing, and policy wording.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers to grow our profitability.
- Analyse multi-obligor and portfolio transactions.
- Present transactions to internal stakeholders.
- Monitor market, economic, and legal developments impacting risks.
About the Team
The Trade Finance & Working Capital Solutions team sits within our global Credit & Surety team, providing insurance capacity and solutions for leading Trade Finance & Working Capital Solutions banks and other financial institutions.
About You
We are looking for an exceptional teammate with strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and presenting skills. You should have a willingness to take initiative and implement measures in a goal-oriented manner.
Requirements:
- At least 4 years' experience within the Financial Industry in Trade Finance, Corporate Banking, or Credit Insurance.
- Understanding of assessing Corporate obligor risks and structures.
- Experience in client-facing roles, preferably with brokers.
- Strong interest in corporate risks, economic interdependencies, and financial analysis.
- Willingness to travel from time to time for events.
