About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Labourer to join our team at Poppa G's Quality Meats. As a Labourer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our meat processing and packing plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Safety and Handling: Maintain a high level of food safety and handling skills to prevent contamination and ensure the quality of our products.
  • Material Transportation: Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials efficiently and safely.
  • Machine Operation: Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines, and clean machines and immediate work areas.
  • Packaging and Quality Control: Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers, and check products and packaging for basic quality defects.
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP): Adhere to GMP guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a cold/refrigerated and wet/damp environment.
  • Work Setting: Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Familiarity with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) knowledge.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to perform repetitive tasks, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Reliability and strong work ethic.
Working Conditions

This is a temporary work opportunity with a variable schedule of 40 to 50 hours per week. The work language is English.
