Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief of Operations to join our team at ALSTOM Gruppe. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless physical delivery of our trains, encompassing all aspects of overhaul, modernization, and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assembly Line Setup and Management

Ensure the assembly line is set up and managed efficiently, with a focus on quality, timeliness, and cost efficiency.

Supply Chain and Industrialization Coordination

Coordinate with Supply Chain, Industrialization, Production, Quality, Test & Commissioning teams to ensure smooth delivery of trains.

Design for Operations (DfO) and Quality Management

Ensure Design for Operations (DfO) aspects are addressed in development phase and industrial quality is maintained.

Operational Execution and Improvement

Ensure smooth operational execution, agility, and responsiveness, and manage the improvement action plan to achieve industrial QCD targets.

Project Industrial Management Plan (IMP)

Develop the Project Industrial Management Plan (IMP) in line with project objectives and other project plans.

Industrial Readiness and Gate Reviews

Ensure the readiness of industrial, methods, supply chain, production activities, means, and deliverables to successfully pass gate reviews.

Requirements

  • Experience

At least 15 to 20 years of experience in industrial operations and train overhaul/modernization/upgrades, including 3 years at project or site management level.

Industrial Knowledge and Project Background

Extensive industrial, overhaul, train upgrades/modernization, supply chain, and ALSTOM product knowledge and project/company background.

QCD Targets and Resilience

Proven experience in managing industrial QCD targets (Quality, Cost, Delivery) and resilience to manage operational and technical challenges.
