Job Title: Landscape Worker

RTJ Landscaping is seeking a reliable and hardworking Landscape Worker to join our team. As a key member of our outdoor maintenance team, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, tying and securing plants, and performing various other tasks related to lawn care and gardening.

Work Environment

As a Landscape Worker, you will be working outdoors in various locations, including hotels, motels, resorts, golf courses, sports fields, and private residences. You will be exposed to wet/damp conditions, noise, odors, dust, and hot temperatures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including planting bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
  • Tie and secure plants to ensure stability and safety.
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain their health and appearance.
  • Cut grass and rake and collect refuse to keep the work site clean and tidy.
  • Remove litter and garbage to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed.
  • Lay sod or seed to create a lush and vibrant lawn.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and other tools.
  • Perform tree removal and other tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Attention to detail to ensure high-quality work.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Dependability, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
Language and Work Term

English or French is the primary language of communication, and the work term is permanent. The work schedule is 32 hours per week.
