Position Summary
We are in search of a proactive and enthusiastic individual to take on the role of QA Automation Lead Engineer. This position is integral to our team and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with frontend and backend engineers, designers, and healthcare experts to ensure the quality of our web and mobile applications deployed in a highly regulated sector. This role is structured as a 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension based on performance. It is also a fully remote position.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement a comprehensive QA strategy in collaboration with a team of QA engineers and automation tools.
  • Lead the QA team at Hypercare, fostering a culture of quality and excellence.
  • Conduct manual testing to ensure product reliability.
  • Execute load and performance testing on our APIs to validate system robustness.
  • Oversee the quality assurance of all software products developed by our engineering team.
  • Integrate automated testing suites into our CI/CD pipeline for continuous improvement.
  • Enhance the efficiency of our QA processes through innovative solutions.
  • Create both high-level and detailed test cases based on design and product specifications.
  • Analyze and document bugs and errors identified during testing phases.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve development efficiency and performance.
Qualifications for Success
The ideal candidate for the QA Automation Lead Engineer role will possess the following attributes:
  • A passion for working in a startup environment.
  • Proficiency in Playwright (JavaScript) for UI testing and Appium (Java) for mobile testing.
  • Solid understanding of Postman and its API functionalities.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools such as Locust, Bombardier, and JMeter.
  • Experience in developing test suites for iOS, Android, and web APIs.
  • Background in agile methodologies.
  • Competence in bash scripting.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • A collaborative team player who can also work independently.

Compensation
  • Monthly Salary Range: $4,500 to $5,700 (Canadian Dollars)
