Position Summary

As a Payroll Operations Support Specialist at Forvis Mazars, you will play a crucial role within our vibrant team, aiding in our commitment to delivering exceptional services.

Your responsibilities will include assisting our payroll experts and facilitating communication with our clientele. You will handle tasks such as employee onboarding onto payroll systems and the generation and distribution of payroll documentation. Moreover, you will follow up on these tasks with payroll specialists and engage in all associated activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address client inquiries and payroll requests with professionalism, ensuring prompt resolution and managing the Payroll Support communication channel.
  • Monitor the progress of requests to guarantee swift resolution.
  • Assist in executing payroll transactions as required by payroll specialists.
  • Support clients with various registration inquiries pertinent to their employment province.
  • Generate and disseminate payroll reports and related documents as necessary.
  • Collaborate with clients to troubleshoot payroll challenges and suggest effective solutions.
  • Enhance departmental processes by establishing workflows and fostering collaboration among payroll stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

You may be an ideal candidate if you possess:

  • A solid understanding of payroll procedures and current regulations.
  • Relevant experience in a comparable role within payroll outsourcing services.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Practical experience with payroll systems, with familiarity in Desjardins and Nethris considered an advantage.
  • The ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proactive and exceptional organizational skills, with a focus on timely execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English to engage effectively with all clients.
  • A customer-centric approach with the capability to build robust professional relationships.
  • A strong sense of confidentiality and ethical standards in managing sensitive information.
