About the Role

As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for the accurate processing and reconciliation of our UKG Pro clients' Canadian payroll within our Managed Services team.

You will provide timely and accurate financial information while engaging in the day-to-day payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and reconcile payroll for multiple clients
  • Provide financial information and support to clients
  • Perform basic analysis and research related to payroll processing
  • Assist the Team Lead and Manager in reconciling all inputs and outputs of payroll processing
  • Identify areas of client dissatisfaction and escalate to Team Lead and/or Payroll Manager
  • Develop and maintain awareness of SOC 1 controls and ensure compliance
  • Handle setup and execution of new payroll cycles
  • Perform pre-calculation audits and run variance reports
  • Assist clients with annual enrollment and testing
Requirements

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Specialist with:

  • Experience working with automated multi-corporation, multi-state payroll processing
  • In-depth knowledge of Canadian payroll tax and accounting principles
  • Wage and hour laws
  • Proficiency in using PC with MS Office applications
  • Human Resource and Payroll Experience with a Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC), Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), and/or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)
  • Associate degree in Business Administration or Accounting (or equivalent in education and experience)
