Job Title: Registered Nurse - Coronary Care Unit

Job Summary

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in the Coronary Care Unit at Mount Sinai Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients with cardiac conditions, including those experiencing cardiac events such as acute coronary syndromes and cardiac arrhythmias.

Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced assessment and documentation of patient care
  • Interpret arrhythmias and perform defibrillation and temporary pacemaker insertion
  • Monitor hemodynamic parameters and administer high alert medications
  • Provide complex cardiac patient care, including patients requiring inotropes and thrombolytic therapy
  • Transport cardiac patients for inter-facility transfers and provide pre and post-procedure education
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care
Requirements
  • Current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • BScN (preferred)
  • Completion of Level 2 Critical Care Certificate or equivalent from an accredited academic institution (preferred)
  • Current/recent 1-2 years Adult Medical/Surgical experience
  • Current BCLS certificate
  • Current ACLS certificate (preferred)
