As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional care to patients with cardiac conditions, including those with implantable cardiac devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care to patients with cardiac conditions, including those with implantable cardiac devices.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Assess and manage patients with rhythm disturbances, including those with pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators.
  • Participate in the intra and post-operative phases of implantable cardiac device procedures, including programming and troubleshooting.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in cardiac device interrogation and programming.
  • Minimum 2 years' telemetry experience.
  • Proficiency in the interrogation, testing, and programming of implantable cardiac devices.
  • Previous experience in a Pacemaker Clinic, cath lab, or cardiac device implantation lab.
  • Expertise in comprehensive cardiac nursing assessment.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications.
  • Coronary Care 1 & 2 and Critical Care Certificate.
