North York General Hospital (NYGH) is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Care team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to patients with cardiac conditions, working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' cardiac conditions, including electrocardiograms, echocardiograms, and other diagnostic tests.
  • Develop and implement education programs for patients and families on cardiac health and disease management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in cardiac nursing, preferably in a telemetry or cardiac care unit.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in cardiac device interrogation and programming.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Coronary Care 1 & 2 and Critical Care Certificate preferred.
