Job Title: Editor - Content Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Editor - Content Specialist to join our team at Kitco Metals. As an Editor - Content Specialist, you will be responsible for evaluating the suitability of material for publication, detecting and correcting errors in spelling, grammar, and syntax, and planning coverage of upcoming events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate suitability of material for publication, broadcast, or publication on the Internet
  • Detect and correct errors in spelling, grammar, and syntax
  • Shorten or lengthen copy
  • Plan coverage of upcoming events and assign work accordingly
  • Confer with authors, staff writers, reporters, and others regarding revisions to copy
  • Plan and co-ordinate activities of staff and assure production deadlines are met
  • Write or prepare introductions, marketing and promotional materials, bibliographic references, indexes, and other text
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years or more of experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Publisher, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and MS Word
  • Membership in the Editors Association of Canada
