Humber College seeks a visionary leader to serve as Dean for the Faculty of Social and Community Services.
The successful candidate will provide strategic direction and leadership to a dynamic faculty dedicated to providing high-quality education and training in a wide range of social service fields.
- Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the Faculty, aligned with Humber College's overall goals and objectives.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that supports faculty growth, innovation, and excellence in teaching, research, and scholarship.
- Advocate for the Faculty's needs and priorities within the college and external stakeholders.
- Ensure effective resource allocation and financial management to support the Faculty's operations and initiatives.
- Promote partnerships with community organizations and industry leaders to enhance student learning opportunities and career pathways.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within the Faculty and across the College.
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree or higher in a relevant field of study is required. A doctorate is preferred.
- Extensive experience in post-secondary education administration, with a proven track record of success in leading and managing academic programs.
- Demonstrated commitment to student success and a passion for teaching, learning, and fostering an inclusive academic community.
- A deep understanding of the Canadian college sector, including its regulations, accreditation standards, educational programs, and student demographics.
- A strong commitment to recognizing and celebrating Indigenous cultures, histories, and knowledges in all aspects of academic programming, events, professional development, and initiatives.
