Senior Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellness

Humber College is seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Senior Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellness. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the further development of the Faculty, its programs, industry partnerships, research, student success, and the teaching and learning environment.
About the RoleThe Senior Dean will provide strategic and operational leadership over the administrative and academic priorities of the Faculty. This includes ensuring the successful design and delivery of the academic and operational plan, fostering mutually supportive partnerships and alliances with stakeholders, and promoting an inclusive, student-centered community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Faculty
- Develop and implement the Faculty's academic and operational plan
- Foster partnerships and alliances with stakeholders
- Lead and foster interdisciplinary collaboration within and across program clusters, Faculties, and organizational departments
- Ensure the effective delivery of services and financial performance within the Faculty
- Conform to all external accreditation and licensing requirements
- Post-graduate degree in a field related to the Faculty (PhD achieved or in progress is preferred)
- Successful senior leadership experience in a post-secondary or similarly complex, multi-stakeholder organization
- Experience operating within a collegial governance structure and unionized environment
- Knowledge, sensitivity, and ability to embed equity, diversity, and inclusion principles into processes, practices, work culture, and curriculum
- Experience executing and delivering on academic and operational plans
- Demonstrated commitment to ensuring academic excellence and a passion for teaching, learning, and student success
- Experience working with and/or within a licensed health regulated profession (e.g., nurse, pharmacist, occupational therapist, social worker) considered an asset
