We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing Engineering team in Mississauga, ON. Reporting to the Manager of Engineering, you will be responsible for managing and directing multi-discipline engineering/drafting teams to produce high-quality deliverables that meet project requirements.

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers and drafters, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Develop and implement design strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Oversee the design process from concept to completion, including feasibility studies, detailed engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring timely delivery of deliverables within allocated resources.
  • Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members, promoting continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines, including electrical, civil, and process engineers, to ensure seamless integration of designs.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in mechanical design technologies.
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in mineral processing or metallurgical plant design.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant design software and engineering tools.
