Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Gas Fitter to join our team at AG MECHANICAL LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing gas heating units and their components, as well as advising clients on standards, safety features, and maintenance of gas units and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install gas heating units and their components, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Measure and mark reference points for installation of gas lines and equipment, using precision tools and techniques.
  • Service gas heating units and their components, performing routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Repair and service gas appliances and related equipment, troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Advise clients on standards, safety features, and maintenance of gas units and systems, providing expert guidance and recommendations.
  • Test and adjust control mechanisms, checking pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices.
  • Install and service propane and natural gas filling stations, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Work in various locations, including commercial and residential settings.
  • Physically demanding role, requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
  • English language proficiency required.
