Position Summary
The role focuses on overseeing grower agreements, managing payments, and ensuring the precision of inventory records. Responsibilities include reconciling daily transactions, generating financial reports, and maintaining the integrity of accounting systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Oversight: Draft and manage grower contracts, ensuring accurate cost structures within the accounting framework for timely payments.
- Financial Oversight: Calculate and process monthly payments and advances for growers. Reconcile daily transactions to guarantee accurate payment and inventory tracking. Prepare and distribute financial statements to growers and conduct monthly reconciliations of payable accounts.
- Inventory and Quality Control: Analyze grade data to ensure precise grower payments and uphold the accuracy of quality data for scheduling. Maintain inventory integrity and manage contract balances within the accounting system, ensuring traceability from field to processing.
- Reporting and Data Analysis: Generate weekly reports for the Raw Department, utilizing advanced Excel capabilities to manage and update multiple spreadsheets.
- Vendor and Grower Engagement: Address inquiries from growers regarding contracts and payments. Collaborate with vendors to ensure prompt payment through requisition creation and invoice submission.
Typical Education
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Excel, with a strong background in managing complex spreadsheets.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong communication abilities, capable of managing relationships with growers and vendors while effectively liaising with the Raw Department and Plant Accounting teams.
