Job Summary

Simplot Canada (II) Limited is a leading agricultural company with a diverse range of operations. We are seeking a highly skilled Raw Product Accounting Assistant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Management:
    • Prepare and maintain grower contracts to ensure accurate and timely payments.
    • Manage cost structures within the accounting system to ensure accurate and timely payments.
  • Financial Management:
    • Calculate and submit monthly grower payments and advances.
    • Reconcile daily tickets to ensure accurate grower payment and inventory tracking.
    • Prepare and send grower financial statements.
    • Perform monthly account reconciliations of payable accounts.
  • Inventory and Quality Data Management:
    • Review grade data to ensure accurate grower payments and quality data for scheduling.
    • Manage inventory accuracy and maintain contract balances within the accounting system.
    • Set up contracts in the accounting system, managing traceability and recall data from field to plant.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare weekly reports for the Raw Department.
    • Utilize advanced Excel skills to update and manage multiple spreadsheets.
  • Vendor and Grower Relations:
    • Respond to grower inquiries regarding their contracts and payments.
    • Work with vendors to ensure timely payments by creating requisitions and submitting invoices.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, with experience managing complex spreadsheets.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage relationships with growers and vendors, and effectively communicate with members of the Raw Department and Plant Accounting.
