About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Woodworking Craftsman to join our team at Kohinoor Looms Inc. as a key member of our furniture production department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Training
    • Supervise and train apprentices in woodworking techniques and best practices.
  • Design and Planning
    • Study and interpret plans, specifications, and drawings to ensure accurate production of custom wood furniture.
  • Production and Quality Control
    • Trim and assemble wood components to form complete units, reinforcing joints as needed.
    • Sand and finish wood surfaces, applying veneer, stain, or polish to achieve high-quality finishes.
    • Prepare and apply laminated plastics to meet customer requirements.
  • Operations and Maintenance
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company safety protocols.
    • Estimate costs and materials for production projects, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Customer Service and Support
    • Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products to meet customer needs.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in woodworking or a related field.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Team player with excellent communication and leadership skills.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment
    • 40 hours per week, permanent position.
    • Work language: English.
