Key Responsibilities- Ensure overall compliance with Recovery and Resolution Planning regulatory requirements with OSFI and CDIC.
- Support the design, production, updating, enhancement, and testing of the Bank's Recovery and Resolution Plans.
- Assist in the preparation of responses to requests relating to recovery and resolution planning from internal and external parties.
- Liaise and collaborate with multiple stakeholders through verbal and written communication channels.
- Take ownership of work streams for the annual preparation of the bank's recovery and resolution plans.
- Provide guidance to international Scotiabank teams responsible for local Recovery Planning, ensuring plans alignment.
- Support the implementation of projects related to the enhancement of the bank's recovery/resolution plans.
- Contribute to a customer-focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Participate in an environment in which the team pursues effective and efficient operations of the respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred.
- 3-5 years of business experience in more than one area of the Bank or related industry. Relevant experience in risk management, finance, and treasury will be an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid stakeholder management skills.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical skills, creativity, critical thinking, ability to identify problems, and propose solutions.
- Proficiency in Spanish language and project management experience will be advantageous.
