Total Credit Recovery is a forward-thinking company in the financial sector, with over 550 employees spread across four offices in Canada. We are seeking highly motivated and professional individuals to fill the role of Senior Account Recovery Specialist.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for making contact with consumers via phone to arrange repayment of past due accounts, ensuring each communication meets our corporate, regulatory, and client requirements. This includes locating consumers using online tools, available information, and problem-solving skills, as well as clearly documenting the results of all calls. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to professionally and respectfully negotiate with consumers to explore possible arrangements.

Responsibilities
  • Making contact with consumers via phone to arrange repayment of past due accounts
  • Ensuring each communication meets our corporate, regulatory, and client requirements
  • Locating consumers using online tools, available information, and problem-solving skills
  • CLEARLY DOCUMENTING THE RESULTS OF ALL CALLS
  • Professionally and respectfully negotiating with consumers to explore possible arrangements
  • Achieving performance targets and objectives
Requirements
  • Two years plus collections experience
  • Professional, tactful, and empathetic demeanor
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High level of integrity and ethics
  • Superior negotiation skills
  • Ability to use logic to solve difficult problems and foresee, react, and offer solutions
  • Strong computer skills
  • Able to legally work in Canada
  • Pass a criminal background check
